Delete pages from a PDF

Mark the pages you don't need and download the rest, byte for byte untouched. See real page previews first. Everything happens in your browser, so your file is never uploaded.

How it works

Your browser downloads two small toolkits and runs them locally: pdf.js draws the page previews you tap through, and pdf-lib builds the file you download.

Removing a page just takes it out of the document; pdf-lib never touches the pages you keep. Nothing is decoded or re-encoded, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution on every surviving page.

Because the work happens on your device, there is no upload, no queue, and no server holding your document.

Questions

Will the pages I keep lose quality?

No. Deleting a page removes it entirely and leaves every surviving page exactly as it was, byte for byte. Nothing is re-encoded, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Both the page previews and the actual page removal happen inside your browser, using pdf.js for the thumbnails and pdf-lib for the output, which your browser downloads once and runs locally. Your file never leaves your device.

Only keeping a few pages out of many?

If you are keeping more pages than you are removing, it is usually quicker to say what to keep rather than what to go. The split tool’s Keep pages mode is built for exactly that. Split PDF.

What happens if I mark every page?

The download button turns off. A PDF needs at least one page, so this tool will never hand you back an empty file. Unmark at least one page to continue.

Can this reorder pages?

Not in this version. Pages come out in their original order, minus whatever you removed. A tool for reordering pages is on the roadmap; this one only ever removes.

Can this remove content from inside a page, like blacking out a paragraph?

No. This tool only ever removes whole pages, never anything drawn on a page you keep. Redacting part of a page’s content is a different job, since it means rewriting what is on a page rather than deleting some pages wholesale, and is permanently out of scope here.

What does "Compress this PDF first" do on the result?

It sends your edited PDF straight to the compress tool without you having to download it and pick it again. The file is held briefly in your browser’s own storage, never sent anywhere, and is deleted the moment the compress tool loads it.

Does this work offline?

Yes. Tap Use offline, or just use the tool once, and it keeps working with no connection at all. Your files never travel anywhere. With your internet switched off, you can watch that be true.
